Sabalenka beat Wang 6-1, 6-3 in about an hour. First serve held; return broke Wangβs second. The semi is open after Swiatek beat Parry.

Ben Shelton defended Montreal by beating Brandon Nakashima 6-3, 7-6(4), completing the event without dropping a set. Iga Swiatek beat Elena Rybakina 6-2, 6-3 in Toronto for her first title of 2026.
Shelton beat Tien 6-2, 6-3 and will face Nakashima, in a first Masters final. In Toronto, Swiatek beat Svitolina and Rybakina beat Gauff. Canada is the last big hard-court block before the US Open.
Ben Shelton stayed unbeaten on sets in Montreal, beating Joao Fonseca 6-3, 7-6(3). He faces Jakub Mensik in the quarters. Tallon Griekspoor was swept aside by Daniel Merida 6-3, 6-1.
Joao Fonseca beat Casper Ruud 7-6(6), 6-3 in Montrealβs third round and will face defending champion Ben Shelton for a quarterfinal spot.
