Eleven days until the first event, and October in figure skating is no longer a challenger in Bergamo. The ISU’s general announcement for 2026/27 lists six Grand Prix stops in a row. The first is the Grand Prix de France in Angers, 23–25 October. Official practice starts on 22 October. Then Skate Canada in Kelowna, 30 October to 1 November; the Cup of China in Shenzhen, 6–8 November; Skate America in Everett, 13–15 November; Finlandia Trophy in Helsinki, 20–22 November; NHK Trophy in Tokyo, 27–29 November.
The Final, junior and senior, is in Chongqing on 10–13 December. First official practices for the Final are on 9 December. The gala is on the 13th. Series points run from 15 for a win down to 3 for eighth in singles. An event left unfinished through injury does not count in the ranking, but it still counts as one of the two required appearances. That is the rulebook, not a column.
Why Everett is not in October
Skate America does not open this series. U.S. Figure Skating said on 7 April that the event had moved off its original October dates to 13–15 November, at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington. It is the fifth of six stops, for a second year. The schedule the federation asks you to treat as tentative: practice on 12 November from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific, men’s and pairs short programs at 7 p.m. on the 13th, women’s short and men’s free on the Saturday afternoon, rhythm dance and pairs free in the evening, free dance and women’s free at 11 a.m. on the 15th. A later ISU grid splits Saturday differently. While the federation still prints “subject to change”, both caveats stay in the piece.
The ISU has already posted entries. The Finlandia men’s list includes, among others, Stephen Gogolev, Adam Siao Him Fa, Nika Egadze, Kazuki Tomono and Mihhail Selevko. That is an entry list, not a result. They skate in Helsinki in the last third of November. Angers comes first. Angers is where the 2026/27 series stops being a calendar and becomes a protocol.
